Paper artist

Peter Gentenaar, an artist from the Netherlands, works with paper (made from bleached flax fibre) and bamboo to create stunning sculpture. His work is inspired by his love for nature and fascination for technology (he was also a graphic artist). The imagery that he creates is akin to the delicate bloom of the flowers, yet robust. Here are some of his works...

Stuff dreams are made of....

Have you ever wondered why some images keep coming back in dreams again and again? I have, and I kept telling myself that such things don't really exist. They only come in dreams....er.... well...... till I stumbled upon a cozy space during one of my net wanderings.... and I cannot help but yell, "Here it is! Here it is!" Nestled in the trees, this small cabin, complete with a small terrace, is built as fun cottage for children in Catalonia, Spain. There is a small staircase and a suspension bridge to climb onto this wonderful hideout. Now, why does it remind me of  'Jack and the beanstalk'..... um?

The suspension bridge to access the cabin.

Every little girl wants this....

..... and so dreams do come true......

A villa in Bali

Villa Baja Jimbaran - A resort in Bali - drop dead gorgeous with antique Javanese furniture, overlooking the waters of the Indian ocean. Its ethnic influence contrasting with all trappings of modernity, coupled with lovely landscape.... its a treat to the eyes. The charming place is an eye-catcher from the word 'go'. How I wish this could be recreated here..... Anyway..... go on.... enjoy....

                             The semi open living room

The lumbung rice barn for Balinese massages

                             The pool side

                             A separate bedroom

                             Bedroom with antique tiles
